There is a war on. Abroad. At home. Right here.
A city is bombed. A soldier is craving love. A suburban couple fear for their safety. The people are demanding justice. Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat by Mark Ravenhill is a contemporary epic cycle of short plays that challenges our notions of freedom, democracy and civilisation. The personal and political effect of war and terrorism is unsettlingly clear – from the streets of a city under attack to the domesticity of our everyday lives. Whether we’re fighting in it or watching it on our widescreen TVs over breakfast, war is everywhere and it’s not going away.
Plays in this cycle were: War of the Worlds, Crime and Punishment, Fear and Misery, War and Peace, The Mother and Yesterday An Incident Occurred.
Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat was a production with Advanced Diploma of Stage and Screen Acting students from Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT)
